Oktoberfest is set to return to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City after 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic. We’re setting our sights on the most happening festival in Vietnam.

“GBA Oktoberfest Vietnam” is the biggest annual cultural festival held in Vietnam, co-hosted by the German Businesses Association (GBA), the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam), together with JW Marriot Hanoi, under the patronage of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hanoi, and German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. The first “GBA Oktoberfest Vietnam” was held in 1992, creating a special mark in the series of social and cultural events taken place in Vietnam, welcoming more than 9,000 expats and locals over 6 evenings in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. 

The year of 2022 has marked a remarkable milestone as we will be celebrating 30 years of our original GBA Oktoberfest. During the past 30 years, “GBA Oktoberfest Vietnam” has become an annual event to bring the unique German cultural and traditional experiences closer to the Vietnamese people. In addition to that, the festival has created a bridge for promoting the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership.

This year we will continue opening the GBA Oktoberfest to all attendees through ticket sales for following places and dates

▫️ In Hanoi, the event will take place at JW Marriott Hotel for 4 days, from Thursday to Sunday, 29^th September – 2^nd October, from 6pm to 11pm. Brand new for 2022 – you and your family will enjoy the Oktoberfest experience with a special Family Day on Sunday, 2^nd October, from 4pm to 9pm, with the addition of fun activities for children and family such as ring toss, bowling, face painting, handmade craft, and of course soft drink and juice for children.

▫️ In Ho Chi Minh City, the event will take place at Nikko Saigon Hotel for 3 days, from Thursday to Saturday, 6^th – 8^th October, from 6pm to 11pm.

With our own unique Oktoberfest in Vietnam, we create an authentic celebration of Bavarian culture, with a perfect reason for you to discover the delights of Germany inside the massive beer halls of the original Oktoberfest in Munich (known as the ‘Festzelt’).
