From Vietnam’s perspective, Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on privacy data protection (PDPD) significantly impacts foreign investors. This includes outlining the obligations for foreign investors, providing guidelines for compliance with the PDPD, and highlighting the important provisions of the PDPD that foreign investors should be aware of.
Regarding privacy laws in Germany, we draw parallels between the PDPD and the GDPR, outlining how the lessons learned from handling the GDPR can facilitate the effective implementation of the PDPD requirements for German businesses.
