HCMC, 28 August – The participative workshop “Spotlight on the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG)” co-organized by GBA and AHK Vietnam at the modern Bayer Vietnam’s office space attracted 40 members from a diverse range of business backgrounds.
With the enforcement of LkSG on January 1st, 2023, a significant step has been taken towards ensuring corporate responsibility in upholding human rights and environmental protection within supply chains. For the first time, this act mandates that concerned companies must diligently observe human rights and environmental due diligence obligations throughout their global supply chains.
Six brief keynote-presentations set the stage, offered a wealth of up-to-date information and crucial insights to what companies should actually do to embrace to the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act – and how to navigate its requirements effectively. Other helpful pieces of advice on aspects like Risk Analysis, Risk Management, the Grievance Mechanism, and best practices of the LkSG are also addressed in the workshop by the distinguished speakers connected virtually with the participants and our moderator.
