A top-class Swiss-German investor & CEO delegation led by Dr. Philipp Rösler, Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Switzerland (former Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economics and Technology of Germany) visiting Vietnam from 28 to 30 June 2022, to promote trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and the DACH region, focusing on Blockchain/Web3, Industry 4.0, start-ups, innovations and sustainability. The group comprised of various sectors: technology, legal, tourism, health and trade, etc.
Ho Chi Minh City, 29 June 2022 – In collaboration with Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City, the German Business Association co-hosted the welcoming reception for the trade delegation Concessor AG from DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) led by former German Vice Chancellor Philipp Rösler, with the aim of connecting and promoting trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and the DACH region, focusing on Blockchain/Web3, Industry 4.0, start-ups, innovations and sustainability. We welcomed the distinguished guests to the Deutsches Haus, a lighthouse project of Germany in Vietnam where the German Consulate, several German companies and institutions are under one roof and which serves as a symbol of Germany’s economic prowess and advancement in sustainability.
Representing the Swiss government to the reception were the Switzerland Consul General in Ho Chi Minh Mr. Martin Maier and the President of Swiss Business Association in Vietnam Mr. Jean-Paul Haessig. Also attending the event were the German Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Dr. Josefine Wallat, Chief Representative of AHK Vietnam Mr. Marko Walde, Chairman of EuroCham Vietnam Mr. Alain Cany and the Executive Director Delphine Rousselet, Chairman of GBA Vietnam Mr. Alexander Götz and General Director of Deutsches Haus HCMC Mr Elmar Dutt.
The experts contributed to an intensive briefing session on the macro economic situation in Vietnam and the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement. In the evening, the delegation members had the opportunity to mingle and explore potential business opportunities.
