Sharing a complementary perspective, Mr. Tuan Vi emphasized the importance of integrating vocational education with industrial practice from an early stage to better prepare future talent for the manufacturing sector. He noted that sustainable talent development requires long-term partnerships between academia and industry, supported by clear development roadmaps and practical, real-world learning experiences.

“Young talents can only truly apply their knowledge by solving real-world challenges through real-world case studies,” Mr. Tuan Vi remarked. “This is an area where Vietnam has significant potential to further strengthen its innovation ecosystem.”

During the interview, Mr. André de Jong highlighted that Vietnam has built a solid foundation for developing high-tech manufacturing by fostering close partnerships with leading universities across the country. Through initiatives such as internships, graduate recruitment, project-based training, tuition-free education, financial support, and hands-on industrial learning, these collaborations are equipping the next generation with the skills needed for high-growth sectors including semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), software engineering, automation, and advanced manufacturing.

As Vietnam continues to strengthen collaboration between government, academia, and industry, these three-way partnerships will play an increasingly important role in developing future-ready talent, advancing digital innovation, and enhancing the country’s competitiveness in the global manufacturing landscape.
