Hanoi, 25 September – The GBA Oktoberfest 2025 season is officially underway! Southeast Asia’s biggest beer festival kicked off last night at JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi.
More than 1,200 guests gathered on opening night to enjoy an authentic Bavarian experience with lively music, unlimited premium beer, and hearty German cuisine. The festive spirit filled the air as GBA members, partners, and friends came together for a night of networking, laughter, and cultural exchange.
The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam, H.E. Helga Margarete Barth; Former Ambassador of Vietnam to Germany, Mr. Vu Quang Minh; GBA Chairman, Mr. Alexander Ziehe; Vice Chairman, Mr. Torben Minko; Vice Chairwoman, Ms. Minh Nguyen; GBA Board Members; the Oktoberfest Sector Committee; and General Manager of JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi, Mr. Douglas Kim. Together, they inaugurated the festival with the traditional keg tapping ceremony.
GBA Chairman, Mr. Ziehe shared: “Over the years, GBA Oktoberfest has become not only our flagship cultural and business event, but also a true symbol of partnership, trust, and the lasting friendship between Germany and Vietnam. This year’s celebration is especially meaningful as we mark the 30th anniversary of the German Business Association and 50 years of diplomatic relations between our two countries.”
A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors, partners, and the amazing Hanoi audience for making the opening night such a success. We can’t wait to continue the festivities in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City!
