HCMC, July 26 – The GBA delegation, led by Chairman Mr. Alexander Ziehe, along with Board Members Mr. Tuan Vi and Mr. Dirk Arend, Executive Director Mrs. Quynh Anh Le, and other GBA members, visited the Center for Nursing, Rehabilitation, and Assistance for Children and Persons with Disabilities in Ho Chi Minh City.
Established in 1978, the Center aids children with disabilities, orphans, malnourished children, Agent Orange victims, and other vulnerable kids. It offers healing, learning, and growth, with dedicated staff and volunteers providing top care and education.
In the spirit of giving, the GBA donated 100 million VND to support the Center. This contribution will be used to create a comfortable and high-quality environment for the children and residents. Additionally, it will enhance the vocational training facilities, significantly improving living conditions and providing essential resources for a better quality of life.
During the visit, Center Director Nguyen Xuan Thang highlighted that over 45 years, the Center has cared for 11,000 children, treated 900,000 disabled children, and trained over 5,000 staff. Currently, it supports over 300 children with multiple disabilities. He expressed gratitude for the GBA’s support.
Corporate Social Responsibility is a cornerstone of our values at the GBA. GBA Chairman Mr. Alexander Ziehe shared: “This donation is a testament to our commitment to giving back to the community. We believe that by supporting initiatives like this, we can help special needs children lead fulfilling lives and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.”
On behalf of the GBA, we express our heartfelt appreciation to the management of the Center, as well as to the doctors, nurses, teachers, and all employees here. Your sacrifices and meaningful work for the children are truly making the world a better place.
This charitable event was held in anticipation of the upcoming GBA Business Awards & Gala Dinner on Thursday, August 29, in HCMC. At the Gala, we will organize more charity activities and recognize businesses that not only commit to ethical practices but also strive to make a meaningful impact on society and the environment. We are excited about our ongoing collaboration with the Center and invite other businesses and organizations to join us in supporting these noble causes.
