[Recap] GBA Excursion to tesa Site Haiphong and SUS Vietnam

Haiphong, September 25 – The German Business Association (GBA) organized an insightful excursion to tesa Site Haiphong and Standard Units Supply Vietnam (SUS Vietnam), aimed at fostering business relationships and exploring innovative and sustainable production facilities. The event saw 50 attendees, including GBA Board members Mr. Jan-Christian Koldehoff and Mr. Dschung Nguyen along with GBA Executive Director Ms. Quynh Anh Le.

tesa Site Haiphong: Opened in October 2023 at the Marine and Service Industrial Park (DEEP C2B), this 70,000 square meter facility produces 40 million square meters of adhesive tape annually, primarily serving the Asian automotive and electronics markets. The site focuses on emission reduction, sustainable production, and responsible procurement, with significant investments planned for eco-friendly production. About 50% of Haiphong’s products are water-based adhesives. A photovoltaic installation will cover 10% of the site’s annual energy consumption, and a rainwater treatment plan will help achieve LEED Gold certification.

SUS Vietnam: Established in June 2011 in Hai Phong city on a 4,400 square meter site, SUS Vietnam is renowned as a reliable supplier of Kaizen solutions for assembly production lines using GF – Aluminum products and accessories, facilitating continuous Kaizen activities. Additionally, SUS Vietnam is a trusted partner for semiconductor equipment makers, providing aluminum profiles for equipment frameworks.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Dirk Hartmann, General Manager of tesa Haiphong, and the entire teams at tesa Site Haiphong and SUS Vietnam for their unwavering support and partnership with the GBA. We also thank all participants for joining us and look forward to welcoming you to our upcoming excursions.
