Celebrating 30 Years of the Original GBA Oktoberfest in Vietnam
Ho Chi Minh City, Thursday, 15 September 2022 – The German Businesses Association (GBA), together with the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam), and our main partner for beer supply, the Erdinger Distributor, Lighthouse Group Indochina, organized the press conference to proudly announce that the most awaited German cultural festival “GBA Oktoberfest Vietnam” will finally be back not only in Hanoi (JW Marriott Hotel), but also in Ho Chi Minh from 6th to 8th October 2022 at Nikko Hotel Saigon.
After a COVID-19 enforced 2-year break, it is very important for us to bring back all our good memories, to bring people together, and to have the GBA Oktoberfest back again because the pandemic showed how important social life is for us, for all our members and friends.

For 30 years, this festival has been creating a special mark in the event calendar and we are welcoming more than 9.000 expats and locals over 6 evenings in Hanoi and HCMC, which makes the GBA Oktoberfest the biggest in Southeast Asia. The highlight of our GBA Oktoberfest 2022 is the Erdinger beer – one of Germany’s best – as exclusive beer supplier for HCMC. That inspired the name of this year’s event in HCMC: GBA-Erdinger Oktoberfest 2022. We are looking forward to welcoming you to our Oktoberfest in a couple of weeks!”
