Kärcher Expands Footprint with New Production Plant in Vietnam

On July 2, Kärcher Group, renowned for its high-pressure cleaning products, inaugurated and began operations at a new cleaning equipment factory at Tam Hiep Port Logistics Industrial Park, Quang Nam. This facility, with a total investment of over 500 billion VND (20 million Euros), includes a 13,500 m² factory and 1,600 m² of office space, and will employ more than 300 local workers.

Quang Nam is a significant industrial province and manufacturing hub in central Vietnam, bordered by Danang city to the north and Quang Ngai province to the south, which houses the Dung Quat Refinery, Vietnam’s first oil refinery with a capacity of 6.5 million tons of crude oil annually.

In 2024, following the inauguration and commencement of production, the factory’s output is expected to reach 500,000 products, increasing to 1.7 million products in 2025 and 2.5 million products in 2026.

Mr. Hartmut Jenner, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kärcher Group, highlighted that the group has 19 factories and logistics centers worldwide, but none have been built and operationalized as swiftly as in Vietnam, with this project completed in just one year.

“From planning to production, all our requirements were met promptly. Production lines were set up on time, and we received necessary certifications for timely investment progress. We greatly appreciate the support in building the factory in Vietnam. This marks a significant milestone for Karcher, as we see immense market potential for our products in Asia. We are seeking a location in Asia to boost production and enhance our long-term competitiveness”, shared Hartmut Jenner.

Representing the GBA Board members, Chairman Mr. Alexander Ziehe attended the opening ceremony, extending congratulations and best wishes to Kärcher Vietnam. The GBA is proud to support this partnership in establishing a strong presence in Vietnam.
