Gentzsch Andre Pierre | General Manager of Ariyana Tourism Complex
Mr Gentzsch is a Swiss Hotelier with roots in Switzerland, Germany and Malaysia. He has 35 years’ experience in events management, hotels, restaurants and airline catering in various positions including Cluster General Manager and General Manager overlooking operations for up to 3000 employees.
In his current rule, he overlooks a complex with two well established 5* star hotels, 2 large conventions centers (one being the location for APEC 2017) and the construction of a 1400 bedroom 4* hotel right next to it.
After studying mathematics, he became an award-winning chef before graduating with honors in a Swiss Hotel Management School and in an Airline Catering General Manager Program. He worked in various independent leading hotels of the world and international chains such as the Hilton and Regent in Europe, Middle America, the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia.
He gained a reputation based on winning various accolades, grooming local talents while being hands on, maintaining an excellent work relationship with locally owned companies and continuous good financial results.
Thanks to his wide diverse knowledge, Mr Gentzsch is often invited to participate in tourism-related projects and events involving governments, authorities and airlines as a consultant to share expertise and give constructive feedback.
He is well known for innovative ideas, finding solutions and opening new markets while keeping an eye on details – qualities which make him particularly successful in the world of Mice and Conventions.
Mr Gentzsch holds diplomas as a hospitality teacher and leadership trainer and is respected for grooming hundreds of Vietnamese talents to leadership positions in the hospitality, many of them now in international brands.
Mr Gentzsch is a proud father of two Mexican girls and believes into a healthy private life as a fundament for a successful professional performance.
