Hanoi, 21 August – The vibrant spirit of the GBA Oktoberfest 2024 came to life at the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi. As the proud organizers of Oktoberfest in Vietnam, the German Business Association (GBA) joined forces with our Oktoberfest Hanoi partners to host an electrifying press conference.
The event featured GBA Vice-Chairman Mr. Torben Minko, Food and Beverage Director of JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi Mr. Lauro Hildebrandt, and our diamond sponsors, Messer Vietnam, represented by Marketing & Communication Manager Mr. Giang Nguyen. We were also honored to welcome a fantastic turnout of 45 media agencies.
The press conference was filled with lively questions and discussions, setting the stage for what’s to come. After the press event, our guests enjoyed a tantalizing preview of the festivities with a mini-Oktoberfest featuring authentic German beer and cuisine.

GBA Oktoberfest, Vietnam’s largest annual cultural festival, is co-hosted by the German Businesses Association (GBA), the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam), together with JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi, under the patronage of the German Embassy in Hanoi and the German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City. In 2023, it attracted over 10,500 attendees and served 20,000 liters of beer. This year’s festival will be held in Hanoi (26-28 Sep.), Da Nang (04 Oct.), and Ho Chi Minh City (10-12 Oct.), promoting Vietnamese-German friendship in a joyful atmosphere.
