We are thrilled to announce that the countdown to the GBA Oktoberfest 2024 is finally over! The biggest beer festival in Southeast Asia kicked off yesterday, September 26, at JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi with 1,700 attendees.
The German Ambassador, Ms. Helga Margarete Barth, along with GBA Chairman Mr. Alexander Ziehe, Vice-chairmen Mr. Torben Minko and Mr. Martin Koerner, other Board members, the Chief Representative of AHK Vietnam Mr. Peter Kompalla, and the Hotel Resident Manager of JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi Mr. Paul Dunn, inaugurated the festival with the special ceremony of opening the first beer keg with a hammer.
GBA Chairman Mr. Ziehe stated: “2025 will mark 50 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Germany. Our strategic partnership has deepened across cultural, economic, trade, and investment fields. For over 30 years, the GBA Oktoberfest has been a cultural event and a platform for German and Vietnamese businesses to explore new opportunities. We have continuously enhanced the authentic Oktoberfest experience, spreading German culture across Vietnam. We look forward to celebrating German-Vietnamese friendship with you at the festival this year in Hanoi, Danang, and Ho Chi Minh City.”
The celebration will continue until Saturday, September 28, at the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi. Subsequent events will take place in Danang on October 4 at the Furama Resort Danang (Tickets selling fast, book your tickets here>>>), and the grand celebration will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from October 10 to 12 at the Hotel Nikko Saigon.
