OUR ANNUAL COMPETITION FOR YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS
GBA BUSINESS CHALLENGE 2023 – SEASON IV IS NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATION
Initiated 2020 by the German Business Association (GBA), the GBA Business Challenge has become a good chance for Vietnamese students and young entrepreneurs. With the desire of continuing to empower the young Vietnamese startup community, the GBA in Vietnam has officially launched the Season IV of the GBA Business Challenge.
The GBA Business Challenge is gradually becoming an attractive playground for students who are passionate about business and about to start realizing business ideas that they have been planning for a long time. The first three seasons attracted nearly 300 interested applications with a wide range of ideas and business fields. Up until now more than 150 young entrepreneurs received a business plan training and expert consultancy throughout the GBA Business Challenge. Recognizing the great potential as well as the need of the young startup community regarding financial support and capacity building, GBA would like to keep contributing to the efforts of turning ideas and dreams into tangible business models, which might have ability to make positive impacts on society, the environment, and people in long-term.

This year competition business idea criteria are:
- Realistic & Growth Potential
- Not yet on the market
- Can be realized within 1 year
- Application and presentation in English
- Open for participants over 18 – 35 years old
- Team effort is required (at least 2 members)
- Business idea from Vietnam

Step 2: Wait for the feedback, the jury will select the top 25 who will receive a professional training and work out a convincing business plan.
Step 3: The jury will select the top 5 who will pitch at our GBA Monthly Business Meeting in November 2023 to win the GBA Business Challenge!
Teams with good ideas who feel they match the criteria can compete against each other and win prize money of VND 300 million and 1-year coaching program, to turn their business idea into reality. The coaching program is carried out by experienced professors of the Vietnamese-Germany University (VGU), The German Academy Exchange Agency (DAAD) and the GBA.
A jury consisting of 16 members, who are leaders and experts from within the GBA business community will evaluate the submitted business idea. This companionship reflects the enthusiasm and commitment of the GBA and its volunteer members to make sure that all business ideas are evaluated and selected fairly; the capacities and skills of the Top 25 are enhanced so that they are ready to build and manage a successful start-up.
