With the aim of providing our members a deeper insight about the actual investment environment and manufacturing process, our first excursion trip of the year to Long Hau Industrial Park (IP) was successfully organized on Friday, July 15th in Long An province, with the participation of 30 GBA members. This ‘Exclusive Factory Site Tour’ was to explore the infrastructure trading, service center, the model of high-rise factory, ready built factory and specific factories inside this industrial park.
Long Hau IP locates in strategic area for urban and industrial development of Ho Chi Minh City under the strategy “Forwarding to the East Sea” of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee. The park has a total area of nearly 500 hectares with an ideal location near Ben Luc – Long Thanh Highway, Saigon – Hiep Phuoc port and SPCT port which helps investors save time, transportation costs and conveniently connect to Ho Chi Minh City center. With over 15 years of development, more than 200 domestics and foreign investors have chosen Long Hau IP as a sustainable development partner such as: SASCO, Lock&Lock, Lotte-Sea, KONOIKE Group, Avery Dennison, WAHL Professional, etc.
The next visit on the tour was the Deutsche BekleidungsWerke factory. The group had chance to explore its comprehensive and sustainable manufacturing process: from green garden, solar and watering system, woven products to cutting, sewing, stocking process and utilities. Deutsche BekleidungsWerke Ltd. Co is part of the Royal Spirit Group, a German high fashion manufacturing group with its own woven and sweater labels in both the US and Germany is building a flagship manufacturing facility in Long Hau Industrial Zone, specializing in high-end fashion speed to market apparel. The factory will be one of Vietnam’s premier facilities. It is fully air conditioned, and has been designed to LEED platinum standards, to reflect the company’s commitment to its workforce, and sustainability.
