“HR – General Update and Deep-Dive on Vocational Training as well as other German HR related Initiatives”
1. Vietnam Employment Market – General Trends & Challenges
Mr. Cong Ong, General Director, First Alliances
Established in 1998, First Alliances is one of the largest HR consultancies in Vietnam specializing in Executive Search & Selection, HR Outsourcing, which includes payroll, staffing, and RPO. In 2016, First Alliances became a member of PERSOLKELLY – a joint venture between PERSOL Holdings (previously Temp Holdings) and Kelly Services, to provide end-to-end workforce recruitment services.
In this presentation, Mr. Cong Ong will share interesting information about the salary trends for various industries as well as tackle the topic of talent shortage, the challenges in attraction and the tips on retention.
2. Vocational Training Activities of German Companies in Vietnam
Mr. Marko Walde and Ms. Bich Van Nguyen, Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK)
The presentation gives overview about the dual vocational training activities of German companies in cooperation with AHK in Vietnam. Especially the training occupations, cooperation models, results and challenges in the implementation and certification of dual vocational training programs in Vietnam will be introduced.
3. Company example vocational training: Bosch Vietnam

Mr. Tran Ngoc Huu Dat, Head of Vocational Training Center Bosch Vietnam
Bosch was the first German company to establish a vocational training in Vietnam according to German standards. The program is considered benchmark for other companies. Being established in 2013, the first generation of apprentices has successfully graduated and is now employed in the factory in Dong Nai.
4. Senior Experten Service (SES) Germany – Future need experience
Mr. Nhan Lu, SES Germany representative in HCMC
The SES is Germany’s leading volunteering organization for experts and executives who are either retired or taking some time off work. The SES has been helping people to help themselves since 1983 – all around the world, in every industry and sector. At present, the SES has access to the knowledge and experience of over 12,000 experts from all professional spheres in over 160 countries. The SES is based in Bonn. It has some 180 representatives in 90 different countries around the world. The main beneficiaries of the SES network’s expertise are small and medium-sized businesses, public authorities, professional and business associations, social and medical facilities, and institutions which provide basic education or vocational training.
