The second GBA Oktoberfest, co-organized by the German Business Association (GBA), the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam) and the Furama Resort Danang successfully took place on October 4, 2024 with over 500 festival-goers. The festival kicked off with a press conference in the afternoon, attracting significant attention from local media agencies.
GBA Chairman Mr. Alexander Ziehe expressed excitement about bringing an authentic German beer festival to Central Vietnam, highlighting Da Nang’s economic ties with Germany, including $30 million in exports and $23 million in imports in 2023, and 13 investment projects worth over $11 million. The festival showcased the region’s economic potential and fostered bilateral socio-economic relations. It also provided a platform for German and Vietnamese businesses to explore collaboration opportunities.
Attendees enjoyed a lively Bavarian atmosphere with performances by the O’zapft band, various entertainment activities, and distinctive German cuisine, especially premium German craft beer.
Other esteemed guests included Chief Representative of AHK Vietnam Mr. Peter Kompalla, GBA Vice-Chairperson Ms. Minh Nguyen and Mr. Torben Minko, Oktoberfest’s Committee Mr. Andre de Jong together with our event partner Furama Resort Danang, General Manager Mr. Gentzsch Andre Pierre and the management team, as well as our Diamond sponsor Messer Vietnam.
