On February 28, Binh Thuan Province announced its Master Plan for 2021 – 2023, with a vision to 2050, and its investment promotion plan for 2024. GBA Vice-Chairman Mr. Martin Koerner was present at the ceremony.
Binh Thuan aims for green growth and a low-waste economy based on three pillars:
- Industry, with a focus on clean and renewable energy, processing, manufacturing, and high-tech clusters.
- Services, with a variety of tourism, health, entertainment, and marine sports; as well as training and research; and logistics.
- Agriculture, with an emphasis on ecological and high-tech farming and processing.
Mr. Koerner praised Binh Thuan’s efforts to create a favourable investment environment and highlighted the province’s tourism potential as an opportunity for European investors.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee Doan Anh Dung, Secretary of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee Duong Van An, and other central and local authorities, diplomatic and international representatives, and domestic and foreign investors.
