Ho Chi Minh City, September 24 – What an incredible opening night! GBA Oktoberfest Vietnam 2026 officially raised its first stein in Ho Chi Minh City, welcoming more than 1,500 guests to our brand-new venue at 257 Hoang Van Thu.
From the moment the doors opened, the new festival grounds came alive with the unmistakable spirit of Bavaria. Guests enjoyed authentic German cuisine, free-flowing festive drinks, live Bavarian music, traditional games and a vibrant atmosphere that kept the celebration going throughout the night.
The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of Ms. Andrea Sühl, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ho Chi Minh City, and Mr. Pham Dut Diem, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of External Relations, alongside Mr. Alexander Ziehe, Chairman of GBA, and Mr. Peter Kompalla, Chief Representative of AHK Vietnam.
More than a festival, GBA Oktoberfest Vietnam continues to bring together the German and Vietnamese communities through culture, friendship and connection – and last night was a fantastic start to this year’s journey.
Together, they officially opened this year’s celebration with the traditional “O’zapft is!”, marking another milestone in more than three decades of GBA Oktoberfest in Vietnam.
