[Recap] GBA New Member Onboarding

HCMC, 9 September 2026 – The German Business Association (GBA) warmly welcomed 43 members to the second New Member Onboarding of 2026, bringing together new members and company representatives from across industries for an engaging morning of exchange and connection. The session was graced by the presence of GBA Chairman Mr. Alexander Ziehe, GBA Board Member Mr. Michael Wekezer, and AHK Vietnam Chief Representative Mr. Peter Kompalla.

This signature quarterly session offered participants a closer look at the GBA community and how to make the most of their membership, from GBA’s role and network of 430+ corporate members to the benefits of dual membership with EuroCham Vietnam and close cooperation with AHK Vietnam. Members were also introduced to GBA’s diverse activities across Vietnam, including business and networking events, workshops, government relations, and advocacy.

In his address, Chairman Mr. Ziehe provided a comprehensive overview of GBA’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities in Vietnam. He emphasized the association’s commitment to strengthening German-Vietnamese economic ties, advocating for the interests of GBA members, and building meaningful partnerships across sectors. The session concluded with an opportunity to network and connect, encouraging new members to actively engage with the GBA community and make the most of the network.
