[Recap] Grand Opening of KUKA Automation 2.0 Technology Center

The German Business Association (GBA) was pleased to attend the Grand Opening Ceremony of the KUKA Automation 2.0 Technology Center at the Saigon Hi-Tech Park Training Center, represented by Mr. Jan-Christian Koldehoff, GBA Board Member/ General Director of Fr. Meyer’s Sohn Vietnam. The event marked an important milestone in strengthening Vietnam’s industrial automation ecosystem through closer collaboration between industry, education, and technology.

Developed through the partnership between KUKA Vietnam and the Saigon Hi-Tech Park Training Center, the new facility is designed to provide hands-on training in robotics, automation and advanced manufacturing technologies while preparing engineers and technicians with internationally aligned skills to meet the demands of Industry 4.0 and beyond.

During the ceremony, KUKA shared its vision for Automation 2.0, highlighting how artificial intelligence, robotics and industrial automation can be integrated through new software platforms to enable smarter, more autonomous manufacturing systems. The company also reaffirmed its long-term commitment to supporting Vietnam’s manufacturing transformation by investing not only in technology but also in talent development.

A key highlight of the event was the emphasis on building a sustainable talent pipeline through partnerships with universities, vocational institutions and industry stakeholders. The center aims to become a hub for practical training, certification and technology transfer, helping bridge the gap between education and the evolving needs of modern manufacturing.

The event also featured the signing of strategic cooperation agreements to further strengthen workforce development and promote collaboration across the robotics and automation ecosystem in Vietnam.

As one of Germany’s leading technology companies, KUKA continues to demonstrate how German innovation can contribute to Vietnam’s industrial development. GBA is proud to support initiatives that foster stronger connections between businesses, educational institutions and technology partners, helping develop the skilled workforce needed for the country’s next stage of sustainable industrial growth.

Congratulations to KUKA Vietnam on this significant achievement, and we look forward to seeing the Automation 2.0 Technology Center become a catalyst for innovation, talent development and German-Vietnamese business cooperation.
