Last week, representatives of the German Business Association (GBA) had the privilege of meeting with the leadership teams of two of Vietnam’s most influential private conglomerates – Vingroup and Sun Group to explore opportunities for collaboration in technology, innovation, infrastructure, and sustainable development.
The meetings were attended by distinguished representatives from both Germany and Vietnam, including: Ms. Helga Margarete Barth, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam, Mr. Simon Kreye, Deputy Head of Mission and Head of the Economic Section, German Embassy Hanoi, Mr. Alexander Ziehe, Chairman of the German Business Association (GBA), Mr. Bjoern Koslowski, Vice Chairman of the German Business Association (GBA), Mr. Truong Dang Minh, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Sun Group & Chief Executive Officer of VinGroup.
As Vietnam’s construction and infrastructure sectors continue to expand at remarkable speed, private enterprises are playing an increasingly important role in shaping the country’s future. From urban development and hospitality to transportation, aviation, highways, and high-speed rail, ambitious projects are transforming the landscape across the country. While Vingroup and Sun Group pursue different development strategies, both share a common vision: building world-class projects while strengthening Vietnam’s broader economic ecosystem through international partnerships.
