On 5 June 2026, the German Business Association (GBA), in collaboration with member Nishimura & Asahi (Vietnam) Law Firm, successfully hosted the M4M Workshop “Contractual Integrity in Labour and Commerce Relations: Compliance and Enforcement” at Capital Place, Hanoi. The event welcomed 20 participants from the GBA network and business community for an engaging and practical discussion on legal compliance in both employment and commercial relationships.
The workshop was opened by Mr. Bjoern Koslowski, Vice Chairman of the GBA, who highlighted the importance of robust contractual frameworks in helping businesses manage risks and navigate Vietnam’s evolving legal landscape.

During the session, the speakers explored key legal aspects of labour contracts, including mandatory contractual provisions, probation arrangements, contract renewal, termination procedures, and common labour dispute scenarios. The discussion also covered commercial contract enforcement, practical enforcement challenges in Vietnam, dispute resolution considerations, and important competition law implications relating to restrictive and non-compete arrangements.
The interactive Q&A session allowed participants to discuss real-world compliance challenges and exchange practical experiences directly with the speakers.
