HCMC, 21 August – The press conference for the GBA-Erdinger Oktoberfest 2025 took place at Hotel Nikko Saigon, setting the stage for this year’s grand celebration across Vietnam. The event was marked by inspiring insights from the organizers on the festival’s history, engaging exchanges with the media, and an overall atmosphere of anticipation and excitement.
The press conference was graced by Deputy Ambassador of Germany to Vietnam, Mr. Simon Kreye, GBA Chairman Mr. Alexander Ziehe, GBA Vice-Chairwoman Ms. Minh Nguyen, GBA Vice-Chairman Mr. Martin Koerner, AHK Vietnam’s Chief Representative Mr. Peter Kompalla, GBA Board Members, and GBA Oktoberfest Committee members Mr. André de Jong and Mr. Matthias Ehrtmann. We were also joined by representatives from our Diamond Sponsors Bayer Vietnam, Häfele Vietnam, and Phuong Nam Education, along with our valued sponsors and partners. We were also honored to welcome a strong attendance of more than 50 media agencies.
On this milestone occasion, GBA Chairman Mr. Ziehe shared: “This year’s Oktoberfest is especially meaningful as we celebrate 30 years of the GBA and 50 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Germany. It reflects the dedication of our entire team to create meaningful experiences, and it stands as a symbol of what GBA represents: community, connection, and growth.”
Following the press conference, guests enjoyed a flavorful sneak peek of the festivities through a mini-Oktoberfest experience, featuring authentic German Erdinger Weibbier beer and cuisine. This preview offered a taste of the traditions of Bavaria and left all attendees eagerly anticipating the main event.
