On October 1 and 2, the German Embassy Hanoi and the German Consulate General Ho Chi Minh City hosted receptions to celebrate the 34th Anniversary of German Unity Day. The German Ambassador Ms. Helga Margarete Barth and Consul General, Dr. Josefine Wallat emphasized the importance of the German Unity Day as a symbol of peace, freedom, and democracy in Europe and beyond.
Representing the GBA, Chairman Mr. Alexander Ziehe, Vice-Chairman Mr. Martin Koerner and Vice-Chairwoman Ms. Minh Nguyen together with other GBA Board members were among the attendees. They expressed their gratitude to the German Embassy Hanoi and the German Consulate General for their commitment to facilitating and fostering the German-Vietnamese economic ties. They also highlighted the achievements and challenges of the GBA in promoting trade, investment, and social responsibility in Vietnam.
The German Ambassador affirmed the strong bilateral relations between Germany and Vietnam, marked by significant cooperation in the fields of energy, climate change mitigation, and the recruitment of highly skilled workers.
