On April 17, the German Business Association (GBA), Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam), and Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft (DEG) collaborated to organize an informative workshop titled “ImpactConnect – An Attractive Financing Solution for German Companies in Vietnam.” The event took place at The Loop and was attended by over 20 participants.
ImpactConnect, a financing program funded by the German government as part of the “Partners in Transformation” and implemented by DEG, offers financial solutions for businesses. As a subsidiary of KfW, DEG is part of a strong banking group with over 60 years of experience in developing and emerging markets, boasting a global portfolio of EUR 9.9 billion.
During the workshop, keynote speakers Florian Karges and Marie-Christine Schon provided valuable insights about the concepts and benefits of ImpactConnect, which focuses on lean financing for established German companies in developing and emerging countries worldwide and is – NEW as of 2024 – also available in Vietnam. Notably, successful stories were shared, including a loan volume of 187.3 million euros, 60 financings across 16 different countries. Additionally, over 8,700 jobs were created, and more than 9,100 jobs were secured.
Key features of ImpactConnect include:
- Attractive Interest Rates with further Interest Rate Reduction: Enterprises can reduce interest rates by up to 2% by promoting positive impacts on society and the environment.
- No Collateral or Parent Guarantee Required: Unlike traditional financing, ImpactConnect does not require collateral or a parent guarantee.
- No Additional Fees: There are no due diligence fees, commitment fees, or breakage costs.
- Flexible Loan Amounts: Businesses can access loan amounts of up to 5 million euros within a 7-year term.
