Friday, 24 March 2023 – The 100th Ostasiatisches Liebesmahl took place at the City Hall of Hamburg with the participation of the German Ambassadors and the Chamber of Commerce across the Asia to discuss about economic development of the individual country and the impact of geopolitical conflicts on trade, growth and innovation.
The Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Mr. Vu Quang Minh together with AHK/ GBA representatives and members: Vice-Chairman of GBA/ Chief Representative of AHK Vietnam Mr. Marko Walde, Chairman of Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City Mr. Horst Geicke, and CEO of Siemens ASEAN and Vietnam Dr. Thai Lai Pham had the honor to attend this special celebration.
With over 300 high-ranking guests, the Ostasiatisches Liebesmahl is one of the most important events celebrating Germany’s relationship with Asia. Important figures from the fields of economics, politics and diplomacy gather at this annual event, which traditionally takes place in Hamburg. Attendees use the Liebesmahl as an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience, and make contacts. In addition, the Kleines Liebesmahl is held annually in various cities across Germany.
