Dong Nai, Vietnam – With the aim of providing our members a deeper insight about the hi-tech metal processing and the notable local workforce training program, our excursion trip to Bosch Powertrain Solutions Plant was successfully organized on Monday, September 19th in Long Thanh Industrial Zone.
Bosch operates a hi-tech powertrain solutions plant in Dong Nai, manufacturing continuously variable transmission pushbelts (CVT pushbelts), a more comfortable, safer, and resource-friendly component for automatic transmissions. It is the largest CVT pushbelt plant of Bosch worldwide. Over the past fourteen years, the production capacity of the factory has been continuously extended. “The integration of our research and development efforts, innovative edge, high manufacturing capabilities and dedicated workforce has been the recipe for success thus far in Vietnam” – said Andreas Abbing, Vice President, Technical Plant Management of Bosch Vietnam.
Besides that developing local workforce is key to the success of the Bosch Powertrain Solutions plant in Vietnam. The Bosch Technical Industrial Apprenticeship (TGA) is one of the first partnerships under the dual-vocational training framework of the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (GIC/AHK Vietnam), established in 2013 with the aim of training highly qualified technicians to work at the high-tech production lines and in engineering by providing a high quality dual-vocational training. The project has received praise from both the Vietnamese and German governments by applying modern German standards in its curricula.
