HCMC, 16 September – The press conference for the “GBA-Erdinger Oktoberfest 2024” took place at the Nikko Hotel Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City. The event was marked by lively discussions, engaging questions, and an overall atmosphere of excitement, providing a glimpse of what attendees can expect at the upcoming Oktoberfest celebration.
The event featured GBA Vice-Chairwoman Ms. Minh Nguyen, GBA Board member Mr. Dirk Arend, AHK Vietnam’s Chief Representative Mr. Peter Kompalla, LGI Vietnam’s Managing Partner Mr. Daniel Cohen, GBA Oktoberfest Committee members Mr. André de Jong and Mr. Matthias Ehrtmann, along with representatives from our diamond sponsor Bayer Vietnam and platinum sponsor Häfele Vietnam. We were also honored to welcome a fantastic turnout of 50 media agencies.
Following the press conference, attendees were treated to a tantalizing sneak peek of the festivities through a mini-Oktoberfest experience. This included the opportunity to savor authentic German Erdinger beer and cuisine, allowing everyone to immerse themselves in the flavors and traditions of Bavaria. This teaser undoubtedly left all those present eagerly anticipating the main event.
GBA Vice-Chairwoman Ms. Minh Nguyen shared: “2025 will mark 50 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany. The bilateral strategic partnership has deepened in all fields, with cultural, economic, trade, and investment cooperation being important pillars. Over the years, the festival has been not only a cultural event but also an opportunity for businesses and organizations from Germany and Vietnam to explore new potentials in various fields. We have continuously worked on upgrading the authentic setting of our Oktoberfest and spreading unique German culture across the country. We look forward to celebrating German-Vietnamese friendship with you at the GBA Oktoberfest this year in Hanoi, Danang, and Ho Chi Minh City.”
