INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR GERMAN COMPANIES IN THAI BINH PROVINCE
Over recent years, Vietnam’s investment landscape has thrived with a stable political climate, robust economic growth, and favorable investment environment. The Northern provinces have gained increased appeal among foreign investors. AHK Vietnam partnered with Thai Binh People’s Committee and GBA Vietnam to organize a two-day delegation trip to Hai Phong and Thai Binh province on June 27-28. The delegation comprised 45 representatives from GBA members and German companies in Vietnam, emphasizing the growing interest in the region.
On June 28, the German delegation led by Chief Representative of AHK in Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos/ Vice Chairman of the German Business Association (GBA) – Mr. Marko Walde, GBA Board members – Mr. Christoph Andermann and Mr. Andre de Jong, together with representatives from Ministries (Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment – Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc and Deputy Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affair – Mr. Nguyen Nhu Hieu), Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Thai Binh – Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, and the leaders of related departments and agencies, gathered in Thai Binh province for a strategic conference on investment opportunities.
The conference included keynote speeches, discussions between local authorities, associations, local companies, colleges, and German companies. A significant highlight was the signing of MOU between AHK Vietnam and Thai Binh Province, and another one between Thai Hung Corp (Thai Binh) and Roding Mobility (Germany). Through the entire hybrid conference, more potentials of Thai Binh Province were uncovered, and different queries from the investors were deepened. GBA and AHK Vietnam sincerely appreciate the support from the Thai Binh’s authorities and all stakeholders for making our delegation trip a success!
The German delegation also had a great opportunity to explore one of the three industrial parks in the Thai Binh Economic Zone – the Green i-Park and a part of the Ninh Binh – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh Expressway which connects the northern coastal provinces of Vietnam with the North-South expressway. It will help to reduce distance and travel time; matching the increasing regional transportation demand and the city’s development orientation; contributing to the coastal traffic linkage, promoting socio-economic development and tourism as well as ensuring national security.
