Johannes has been practicing law in Germany and Singapore before building up the Vietnam presence of Luther – an internationally operating, multidisciplinary German law firm with a particularly strong presence in Southeast Asia.
The focus of Johannes’ advisory work is on providing guidance and support to German and international companies on their way to Southeast Asia. He particularly advises on foreign investments in Vietnam, the drawing up and negotiation of joint ventures, M&A, distribution structures and compliance solutions. He regularly publishes and gives presentations on the opportunities and legal challenges in Vietnam.
Johannes studied law in Berlin, Salamanca (Spain) and London. He obtained the Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the London School of Economics and Political Science and during his legal training worked, inter alia, for the German Federal Foreign Office, Linklaters and the London office of Baker & McKenzie. Johannes is admitted to the bar in Germany and registered as lawyer for international law in Vietnam.
