GBA Workshop: Vietnam on the EU Blacklist – Creating Clarity for Foreign Investment in Vietnam
Tuesday, 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
March 31, 2026
Following Vietnam’s inclusion on the EU list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes (the “EU blacklist“) on 17 February 2026, many businesses and investors are seeking clarity on what this means in practice. The update was adopted during a meeting of the EU’s Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) as part of its regular biannual review, following a technical assessment under the OECD framework on tax transparency and information exchange.
This GBA workshop, hosted by GvW Graf von Westphalen, titled “Vietnam on the EU Blacklist – Creating Clarity for Foreign Investment in Vietnam,” will take place on Tuesday, 31 March, and provide a practical overview of what this development means in the current business context. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of the potential implications, key risks, and practical considerations for navigating this evolving situation from a Vietnamese perspective.
