We’re excited to invite you to the next edition of the GBA NextGenTreff – an evening of cold drinks, meaningful conversations, and new perspectives on working and living in Vietnam as a young international professional.
This time, we are proud to welcome Alexander Ziehe, GBA Chairman of the German Business Association Vietnam, as our guest speaker. Alex will give us a brief insight into his expat life in Vietnam and share some of his personal experiences. During the event, he has also promised to offer career tips and answer your personal questions about building a successful career in Vietnam. Afterwards, you will have the chance to make new connections and meet friends in HCMC – stereotypically over a German beer. (No worries, soft drinks are welcome too!)
Event Details:
- Date & time: Wednesday, 4 June 2025 | 7 PM – 10 PM
- Venue: Cupid Space, 23 Tran Van Sac, Thao Dien, HCMC (map)

Flashback: May NextGenTreff with Alexander Bischoff
At our last meetup, we had the pleasure of welcoming Alexander Bischoff, General Manager of United Potteries Saigon.
He gave us a fascinating insight into his long-standing career and leadership experience in Vietnam. He generously shared stories, lessons learned, and practical advice that proved valuable no matter which field we are currently studying. One key takeaway that stuck with us: “You don’t get what you ask for – you get what you negotiate for.”
His authentic, humorous, and engaging presentation sparked so much curiosity that we ended up doubling the planned time for the Q&A, with plenty of questions and inspiring discussion afterward.
We are also very grateful to Alexander for sponsoring the evening and generously treating us to beer and Flammkuchen. A heartfelt thank you to Alexander Bischoff, we left the session not only wiser but also highly motivated for our own paths ahead!
