The GBA excursion to Mercedes-Benz Vietnam was a successful event that took place on December 6, 2023 with 30 participants. The trip aimed to provide the GBA members with an overview and insight into the plant of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City. The plant is located just north of the airport in Go Vap and was established in 1995.
Mercedes-Benz Vietnam leads the luxury car segment in Vietnam with more than 7,000 cars in 2022 producing the GLC, C- and E-Class locally under the highest quality standard and with top-notch technology from its German headquarters of Mercedes-Benz Group AG. During the plant visit, the Head of Operations Mr. Klaus Schanz emphasized that Mercedes-Benz Vietnam has a strong corporate culture and values that inspire its employees to innovate, collaborate and excel in their fields. This has always been the backbone to all historical success story of MBV for past over 25 years delivering outstanding quality. Looking into the future, the operations in Vietnam will contribute towards the Mercedes-Benz Group AG’s global roadmap 2039 aiming for high commitment in Sustainability and CO2 neutrality. In addition to its locally manufactured models, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam also offers a range of imported vehicles like the luxurious S-Class and various Maybach and AMG models. Amongst the imported models there are four progressive, intelligent and sustainable battery-electric vehicles models that, including the EQB, EQS Sedan and the two SUV models of EQS and EQE.
