A piece of Germany in Vietnam – on Saturday, 28 November this became not only an idea or a phrase but a true experience in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.
Initiated by the German Consulate General and hosted by our GB Corporate Partner “Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City” and the AHK Vietnam, we’ve taken part in organizing a huge German festival, that attracted more than 4000 visitors over the course of the day.
Several German companies, most of them members of the German Business Association were present to show their “piece of Germany in Vietnam” to the people. After visiting the different booths that offered many interactive games and experiences, the visitors were mostly found in the GBA Biergarten, which was set up by the GBA team to deliver the true taste of Germany.
Our GBA Biergarten at A Piece of Germany in Vietnam – Mảnh ghép nước Đức is was crowded since 10 am in the morning and we were happy to deliver a true German Biergarten spirit to our guests!

The most important element of a German Biergarten is of course the fluid gold – We’ve had Arcobräu Bier, by Thomas Weigelt, owner of the German Restaurant Parkhaus Saigon and Alexander Haf from Hanoi with Brothers Grimm Bia on board for authentic German beer specialties, brewed in Vietnam.
To make sure that our guests get a proper culinary Beergarden experience, Ms. Tram Le set up her brands Thüringer Landstolz and Haubis Vietnam to serve German Sausages in different styles and original (southern) German potato salad.
For those who do not share the very German and Vietnamese fascination for beer, Schmidt Vinothek from Hanoi and Vinifera from Ho Chi Minh City completed the offer with selected Wines. For the overall hygiene, B.Braun Vietnam provided us with mini-hand sanitizer that was then fount on every table.

Of course there is also a lot of work happening behind the scenes that made the Beergarden possible:
Thank you BOSCH Vietnam for ensuring music the whole day, Fischer Asia for setting up the Bar, DB Schenker for getting us the beer benches from Hotel Nikko Saigon, Winterhalter Vietnam for providing us with an excellent mobile dish washing station,
More pictures will follow in the coming days after the event – we can be sure there will be some nice moments to remember!
