Presentations:                1. Update on the recent GBA Developments by Mr Erik Petermoeller, GBA Chairman/ CFO Mercedes-Benz Vietnam 2. EVFTA into force from 1 August 2020 - What organizations need to know right now by Mr Robin Hoenig, Senior Consultant for Trade Policies, ASEAN Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (SGC), per Video-call from Singapore. The EVFTA will come into full force from 1 August – while years of negotiation and preparation finally led to this positive result, now it is time to really di deep and understand, what the free trade agreement exactly means for Organizations operating in Vietnam. Mr Hoenig is an experienced Consultant for Trade policies for the whole ASEAN Region and will share insights and hand-on knowledge on what we can expect. He will answer the most important questions regardless of industry, which surely will be helpful to make best use of the EVFTA from the very beginning. 3. Immigration, Labor, Tax – Update on the most recent developments in the Vietnamese Law by Mr Stefan Ewers, Partner & Head of Office, Rödl & Partner Vietnam Effective from Wednesday, 1 July, a number of new regulations will come into effect. Many of them will have an impact especially on employers with foreign workforce and foreign experts themselves, so keeping up-to-date is crucial to be on the safe side. Besides Mr Ewers, who is a respected expert in international Business Consultancy, especially Investment and Corporate Structuring in South East Asia, will give you a useful update to understand the new laws and being able to react as an organization.
